Privacy policy
The short version
Kettwood is a weaving puzzle you play on your own. There is no account, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. Your levels, fabrics and sewn pieces are stored on your iPhone and nowhere else. Only two things ever go over the network: an optional push subscription with OneSignal, and a small check at launch that asks our server whether a newer version exists.

Who is responsible
Kettwood is published by the developer of Kettwood (“we”). For anything about your data, write to support@kettwood.info.
What stays on your iPhone
Your progress on each level (including a level you left halfway), the fabrics in your wardrobe, the pieces you keep in the Sew tab with their small preview pictures, and your settings for sounds, music box, haptics and notifications. The game stores them with Apple's on-device frameworks (SwiftData and UserDefaults). We cannot see them, and they are not synced to any server of ours. Levels, fabric stories and sounds are part of the app itself, so the game needs no connection to play.
Notifications and OneSignal
Kettwood asks about notifications once, when you have woven seven cloths in chapter 1 and chapter 2 opens, or when you turn them on yourself in Settings. They are used only to tell you that an update brings new chapters.
If you say yes, the app registers with OneSignal, Inc., the service we use to deliver notifications. OneSignal then receives a push subscription ID, your device's vendor identifier (IDFV, which we use as OneSignal's “external ID”), the language of your device, a tag firstInstall and a tag View with the value main_view. OneSignal processes this on our behalf. The IDFV is a random identifier Apple assigns to our apps on your device; it is not your name, email or Apple Account, and it is not used to follow you across other companies' apps. If you say no, nothing is sent to OneSignal.
To stop notifications, open the iOS Settings app → Notifications → Kettwood. To have the OneSignal record removed, write to us.
The update check at launch
When the app starts, it sends one request to our own server to find out whether a newer version is available. The request contains the push subscription ID (or, if there is none, the IDFV), the app's bundle ID and its version number. We use it to answer that question and for nothing else; it is not combined with other data or used for advertising. If the server cannot be reached, the game simply opens.
Depending on the answer, the app may show an update notice. In some cases it can display a page from our server inside the app; like any web view, that page may keep cookies or local storage on your device for its own use. The privacy and support pages open in Safari's in-app view and are covered by Safari's settings.
Photos
Kettwood can only add pictures to your library, never read it. iOS asks for that permission the first time you tap “Save Image” in the share sheet for a sewn piece. Sharing works without it.
What Kettwood does not do
- No sign-up, no login, no profile.
- No analytics, no crash-reporting service, no attribution SDK.
- No advertising and no access to the advertising identifier; the app never shows the App Tracking Transparency prompt because it does not track you.
- No camera, microphone, location, contacts or motion data.
- Nothing you make in the game is uploaded or shown to other people.
Legal basis and international transfers
For players in the EU and EEA: notifications and the data OneSignal receives for them are based on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time in iOS Settings. The update check is based on our legitimate interest in keeping the app working and up to date (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
OneSignal, Inc. is based in the United States and may process data there. Such transfers rely on the safeguards OneSignal provides for them, such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
How long data is kept, and deleting it
- On your iPhone: until you remove it. Settings → Start over → Reset progress clears levels, wardrobe and kept pieces. Deleting the app removes everything it stored.
- At OneSignal: for as long as notifications may be sent to you. Email us and we will delete your record.
- Update check: the request is answered and not kept as a profile.
- Support emails: as long as needed to help you, then deleted.
Your rights
You can ask what data we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, restrict or object to its use, and receive a copy. Write to support@kettwood.info. Because there is no account, it helps to include the date you installed the app; we will never ask for a password. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
Children
Kettwood is rated 4+ because it contains nothing unsuitable, but it is not made for children and is not in the App Store's Kids category. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has allowed notifications and want the record removed, write to us.
Changes to this policy
If the app starts handling data differently, this page will be updated before that version is released, and the date at the top will change.
Was auf deinem iPhone bleibt
Lehnst du ab, geht nichts an OneSignal.
Was Kettwood nicht tut
- Keine Registrierung, keine Anmeldung, kein Profil.
- Keine Analyse-Tools, kein Absturzbericht-Dienst, kein Attributions-SDK.
- Keine Kamera, kein Mikrofon, kein Standort, keine Kontakte, keine Bewegungsdaten.
Schreib an support@kettwood.info.
